DNA doesn’t exactly “tell” a cell what to do. Genes in the DNA make proteins. Muscle is protein. Some proteins are called hormones, which trigger other cells to make other proteins. Fingernail and hair material (keratin) is a protein. Bones are made of proteins (collagen), infused with calcium compounds. Some proteins are called enzymes and help break down other complex chemicals. What we really are is this amazingly complex and massive collection of chemical reactions.
The nerd life got me.
I love you
I was so tempted to just go on the DNA page on wiki then copy and paste the entire thing.
