Well, I thought this was kind of a funny marketing idea letting guys pose in girls clothes, but they consider this as men’s garment. More of these monstrosities can be found on the designer’s website. The seventies were not very good when it comes to fashion, but this guy is trying to put together the worst collection of men’s wear ever. Will be hard to contest him.
Thankfully, probably none of us will ever witness someone wearing this stuff on the street, at work or anywhere to be honest.
These things aren’t really meant for wearing. It’s just an artistic way to misuse garments as a creative provocation. Most of those things you see on a catwalk are not meant for real fashion. They are just experiments with textiles.
Yet the guy offers them for sale.

What I’m more concerned with, is that by having these stick figure boys walk as models, he is creating a very wrong ideal of how men should look like.
No one healthy has such skinny legs.
Young boys seeing this could adopt this as their ideal of what men should look like and fall into anorexia or any other number of eating disorders.
This is real, it’s not just the girls suffering from these unrealistic images of perfect bodies.

Everybody should wear whatever they like and feel comfortable in.. I would not wear it as a woman, much less as a man. But that is personal taste. What I despise is the everlasting anorexia look of most models. It is 2017 and I think it is high time to show models with different sizes and bodies..

Sometimes fashion really can be “just for fun”, you know, like dressing up to go to a party or for Halloween. Fashion should not be so dire that you have to fear for your life over it. People really do have to loosen up more. Gender stereotypes are too rigid, especially if you feel so threatened that you would harm another being over their exercising of the right to shake things up every now and then. Gender identity, or lack thereof, is a ridiculous excuse to harm some one over, or to insult or humiliate them over; no matter what your view of the actual aesthetics.
