Some things in this world need time to mature. Wine and cheese, relationships, our self-esteem… But they are not what this post is about. Quite on the contrary – we’ll be looking at things that miserably failed the test of time and made it into full walk of shame mode.
Something becomes clear. Noone is ever as wrong as economists. No strategy will help you. There are no geniuses among billionaires. It’s all just damn luck.
Joke’s on you, Elizabeth Holmes really was the next Steve Jobs. Her frauds were so blatant that she was convicted in open court; he might have beat the rap, had he not topped himself with his bizarro world bark & bugs miracle diet.
You mean, I can just sit on my couch and wait for the luck to roll by? That strategery hasn’t worked ( yet ) for girls, but I would rather have a billion dollars anyway.
“By 2015 there will be no ice left in Antartica”. – Al Gore An Inconvenient Truth
if you want to know the exact figures about global warming, you need to ask Esso scientists.
There is nothing you can (really) do about it.
Some fraudsters are successful though. Look at Donald Trump. Total crook. Got voted president by Russia and is still not in prison.
They knew all along. Who knows how many had “accidents” because of their knowledge.
There was still ice in Antarctica in 2015 but a lot less than there was a few centuries before.
Global warming is fact and unless we dramatically cut CO2 and methane emissions and do so quickly the ice WILL melt and we WILL see a massive rise in sea level, accompanied by extreme temperatures which could make some parts of the world uninhabitable.
Even then we need to be CO2 and methane negative to restore some of the damage.
Watch “Planet of the humans” on Amazon. It explains the future better than any documentary out there.
Bill Gates 1981: Nobody will ever need more than 640kb of RAM
I’ve always thought of Amazon as a shop. It’s well run of course and very efficient but shopping is hardly radical economic change? Well done Amazon for having a really nice shop though. I’m also a bit surprised traditional retailers didn’t get on line faster.
Suck up, must be looking for something free.
Did you stop to think that a mansion below predicted sea level may be an insurance claim waiting to happen?
The Blockbuster tweet seems to have stood the test of time… ;-)
Paul Krugman; always the idiot.
