What's the bad news? You aren't retarded? Seriously. I'd take a PC over a Mac, but I'd take a Mac over a Dell.

you (picture author) don't know the power if the unix underpinnings of the Mac. You think it's just about the pretty graphics and stylish cases. So do some mac users, but lots of windows users know nothing too. And Macs can run windows or Linux as well or better than your pc. A mac IS a pc nowadays. Intel core 2 duo processors, etc. My MacBook Pro runs windows when I went it too which is seldom. A macbook pro was the fastest choice for vista when vista was new. (PC Magazine tests). Macs rule!

Okay, there is one thing people have to get straight (and sadly they never will) - Do not compare PC and Mac. Mac is used for graphic design and movie production. Adobe products were MADE for Mac. Then for PC. That's why all industries nowadays use Mac for making anime series, and digital art design. Mac is better than PC in that sense. Now look here. Mac fails for games. Not a single person who likes games would pick mac. Why? Let's see... Maybe cause it supports about 1000 games less than a PC? Maybe because i7 Quad Core - the most powerful processor in the world (at this time) is only for PC? Maybe cause AMD Phenom x4 is better to run Crysis and Mirror's Edge than Mac? Maybe cause Mac can't even run Mirror's Edge or Crysis. But don't get me wrong. If I had to do a video podcast, and needed to do video editing in Adobe Premier - I pick Mac.

Macs own pc for gameing...the pc is a workhorse for offices thats why there is no macs in workplaces. They were built for fun, pc built for work

People still think macs are better at graphic design and video processing than PC's? That myth has been debunked time after time. A PC in the same price range will smoke a mac. Even Adobe admits that. Adobe products are much easier to use on Windows, as well. Things like the right mouse button are pretty handy...

since the change in the macs hardware they have come to have the same "guts" as every other machine out there. They are not anything special and the only reason they seem to be special is because they are marketed that way and sold for prices that make them look better than they really are. The real reason most PC people (me included (although im not a windows guy either)) is because of the mentality that mac owners have. Most of them see themselves as "better" than the average PC person just because the makers of the mac say they are. Get a grip people its the same machine under the hood (different OS maybe, but if you want a unix OS try one that isnt so locked down). When you choose a machine based on the company name rather than the quality of the product you have fallen victim to the marketing game. --oh and i like to have more than one button on my mouse --And the adobe suite works just fine in windows (Been dual booting my machine for years just for the adobe software and I have never needed any OS/X)

The hardest thing about buying a Mac is telling your parents your gay?

Get over the right-click thing already. Apple came out with the (albeit clunky) Mighty Mouse in 2005. That's FIVE years ago, and you're still using the same played-out ish. Last year gave us the Magic Mouse. Despite it's stupid name, it gives you all the functionality of your precious 8.7-button mice...but with design in mind.
